Hey! I made a movie during quarantine last summer. It started out as just a little pet project to entertain ourselves and ended up become quite personal and a lot longer than expected. Here it is:
We are pretty happy with how it turned out. I ended doing most of the post-production since Juliette was called away to work on a little movie for Sony. I also scored it myself which got me back into music and recording again, so that was blast.
I'd say more, but I think I say pretty much everything that needs to be said in our behind-the-scenes commentary here:
The movie is doing pretty well for us! I put it out to about 40 cheap horror festivals that we'll hear back from throughout the year, and so far the first 5 have come back as ACCEPTED! I've never had a 100% acceptance rate, so that's pretty cool.
And we actually WON "Best Quarantine Film" at the appropriately named The Thing In The Basement Horror Fest,* were an "Honorable Mention" in the Blood Hollywood Film Festival, and are nominated for an award in the Horrors 4 You film awards.
* - Our movie is literally about a thing in the basement
